the dull white wall

I set my eyes on
The blinding whiteness of
The left side wall in
My room;

It shines with such
A bright dullness that
It reminds me of my own
Bored mind.

My pen is in my hand
Blank sheets scattered on my desk
But I haven’t even initiated
The assignment

My ears are deaf
To the screams of my mother
Outside my door; in the
Living room

I set my eyes upon
The bright blank sheet
And empty my blackness
On the dull white wall.
